Chinese Visa
Applicants are recommended to apply for a visa about one month before their intended date of entry into China. The minimum validity of Chinese visa is 3 months and duration of stay is usually 30 days.
For example, the applicant visa’s starting day is 29.04.2023, expiration date is 29.07., and duration is 30 days. The visa holder must enter China latest on 28.07. and will be able to spend 30 days on its territory, until 27.08.
Fingerprint submission for Chinese visa
The Chinese Embassy in Finland exempts applicants from fingerprint collection for single or double-entry visas for business, tourism, family visit, transit, and crew member until 31.12.2024. The biometric data would be collected for multyetryvisa applications and while applyineg for other types of visas than mentioned above. The biometric data will be stored for 5 years. As of 20.02.2023 you should always submit your biometric data while applying the visa with new passport, even you have already done it in 5 years.

- Business visa is for business purpose
- Tourist visa is for travel and leisure
Travelling to third country via China
Finnish citizens do not need a Chinese visa if they fly though Beijing or Shanghai to third country. The period of stay should not exceed 72 hours in Beijing nor 144 hours in Shanghai. Passenger who transit Without Visa must hold passport that is valid minimum of three (3) months, at time of arrival to China.
